3 Tools For Energetic And Intuitive Self-Care

3 Tools For Energetic And Intuitive Self-Care!

Do you easily feel and absorb the emotions of other people? When it comes to giving advice, are you the one that everyone flocks to? If you’re incredibly empathic, energy sensitive, or highly intuitive, you might be feeling a bit bogged down with all that is going on in our world right now. Many lightworkers, intuitives, and energy sensitives are starting to feel depressed, lethargic, and even apathetic. It’s time for some energetic self-care!

Why energetic and intuitive self-care is more important now than ever before.

Light-workers hold space for other people’s feelings, emotions, and even fears. We can hold space because we have the tools and resources to serve others during times of need. As an intuitive or a lightworker you likely help others to heal by using your intuitive gifts, channeling healing energy, tapping into universal guidance, or another specialty.

Energy work and intuitive translation is what we came to Earth to do!

Intuitive translation and energetic assistance are what we were born for. Lightworkers were sent here to help raise the planet’s vibration, but that doesn’t mean we don’t need self-care and sacred attention ourselves!

More than ever, it is imperative for all people to pay close attention to their spiritual and emotional bodies but especially those who are holding up light for others. Now is the time for intuitive self-care!

Here are 3 ways to practice energetic and intuitive self-care!

Tune in for yourself!

How have you been feeling? Have you been feeling depressed? Do you have a lack of energy or enthusiasm for your intuitive work or even just life itself? Feelings of apathy (for me) are worse than feelings of depression. It’s like a draining numbness that seems to have no end.

Many people I know that are sensitive to energy suddenly got hit with a wave of depression. I was one of those people due in part to a lack of energetic self-care!

As lightworkers and energy healers, we are always looking to be of high service to those around us and right now to the world at large. We have to remember that if we aren’t at our best or if our cup is running dry, we can’t give our best to those we are here to serve. (Check out empath resources here!)

To tune into yourself for intuitive self-care, try this exercise!

  1. Grab a pen and a notebook.

  2. Ground, clear, connect, protect.

  3. Write at the top, “What do I need to know today”?

  4. Allow your pen to flow. (Do a small amount of automatic writing!)

  5. When you come to a stopping point, write, “and what is beneath this” or “what is it that I’m not seeing?”

  6. Then, do some more journaling!

  7. Do this 7 times, each time asking a question that leads you just a bit deeper.

When you read what you’ve put on the paper, you might find that what you thought was the “problem” isn’t the issue at all! Your self-care might be needed in an entirely different area!

Anyone can do this journaling exercise, but intuitive people will see that their spirit team has been trying to reach them all along. Your self-care is more important now than it has ever been!

2. Put yourself in timeout (for self-care, of course!)

Maybe you’re a parent, a student, or a business owner. Perhaps you’re running out of funds, and you’ve recently lost your job. No matter who you are, what is on your list, or what you “should” be doing, the most important thing right now is to take time out for you.

Taking time for yourself allows you to gain focus and clarity.

If you are always “just getting through it” and “pushing forward” you aren’t going to truly have time to get clear on a path. Sometimes all you need is a slight pivot to get things back on track and to feel like yourself again. We can’t control what is happening around us, but we can control how we respond.

I know what it’s like to feel like the walls are caving in. You’re not the only one who has laundry to do, a home to clean, groceries to get, errands to run, and work to do all while you don’t have childcare during a pandemic. Friend, I get it. It’s tough! There are a million reasons why we “can’t” take a time out but there is one reason why we should that trumps everything else. Our overall wellbeing depends on it.

Mental health, spiritual wellness, physical wellbeing, and joy are your birthrights.

If you can’t take time to recenter, how do you expect life to get back on track….the life that you’re in charge of? If you’re derailed, then aren’t most other systems in your reality derailed as well?

Give yourself space

  1. Start a new morning meeting routine. A routine where you just sit and be with yourself, maybe outside maybe in. Commit to yourself to wake up 30-45 minutes earlier to make space for YOU. Not only will this give you mental space, but also it will build a bond and a trusting relationship with your higher-self.

  2. Take baths. (I can hear all of the moms, dads, and busy people laughing right now) Seriously though, at the end of the day instead of watching tv or drinking wine on the couch, take a really hot 20-minute bath with your favorite salts, crystals, and oils. 3. Get your body moving! Energy gets stuck in our physical body (take the Chakras 101 course to see how and why it does, and how to get balanced again). When we exercise, do yoga, and move our bodies, we shake up this energy making sure it doesn’t build up and get heavy. Heavy energy and stuck emotions wreak havoc on the physical body!

Intuitive Self-Care tip # 3 Take back control

Who is driving the car that is your life? Is it your spirit, or is it your ego? How are you reacting when something isn’t going the way you would prefer? Are you getting snippy, do you think everyone else is the problem, do you feel like your life is not in your control anymore?

Guess what? People, situations, quarantine life, it can only affect you if you let it. While I’m sure these statements just struck many many nerves; I would like to remind you I am speaking from experience. Just a few weeks ago, this was me.

I was getting mad about everything, and I was snapping on everyone I love.

The difference between me now and me six years ago is that now I am aware of it. Now when this happens, I recognize that I am out of alignment, and I have let my ego take the driver’s seat.

Now anger, sadness, and depression are simply cues to check in with myself instead of being a mental state of being or way of life!

Those emotions are reminders that I am everywhere but the present moment. They tell me I am worried about the future, being anxious about the past, or taking things personally that have nothing to do with me as a person. I accept these uncomfortable states as checkpoints to hold myself accountable for my reality.

Here is how you recalibrate and once again become respons-able!

Meditate but not the way you always have.

  1. I don’t want you to try to control your every thought – that’s unrealistic. I want you instead to observe your thoughts.

  2. Observing your thoughts will stop them in their tracks. Stopping your thoughts gives you a moment of complete bliss and peace.

  3. When you go deep within yourself, you take yourself on a mental vacation. You will get clear, you will feel better, and you will handle all of the above situations with an entirely new sense of power clarity, and flow.
