5 Most Powerful Self-Love Blogs!
We hear a lot these days about taking our power back, owning our truth, and living our best lives but how do we do that? Even more importantly, why do we get to the point where we don’t honor ourselves and carry biased towards another? It’s all in how we are programmed and conditioned. Yes…programmed.
Throughout life, we are programmed to be a certain way, and this is influenced by those around us. Our parents, siblings, teachers, and even the shows we watch teach us to model their behavior to an extent.
The mentality that surrounds you starts to mold your thinking.
“This stupid guy at the stupid grocery store left his stupid cart in the parking lot.”
“5 dollars for a drink? That’s insane!”
“Work was work. Nothing good happened today – just working with a bunch of stupid people waiting to get home.”
Ugh… as I type these things I am uncomfortable and squirming in my seat. Things have drastically changed because it used to be me saying similar things. I used to say and think thoughts like this because this is what I was always around. I didn’t even think that I was being negative or living in a lack mentality but looking back it showed.
I only had enough money to pay the bills. I was full of anxiety. My friendships were with people that didn’t serve me, and everything was seemingly going wrong all the time. It felt like I was fighting against life, but back then that was normal. Back then I thought that good enough was good enough. I was conditioned to believe you can’t ever really get happy or wealthy or fully healthy – you just live day to day until it’s over and hope for a good day or two in between.
Ew.
Now I can’t even type these things without cringing! Listening to people say things like the above is like nails on a chalkboard to me. Though I let those, who are still conditioned this way to teach me how important it is for me to stay in alignment!
There is ALWAYS something good in every person, situation, and circumstance. If you shift your perception, you will see a lesson. This is where a change in vibration happens, and a significant reprogramming takes place.
It’s not an easy thing to do. Self-work is the hardest work! Change is uncomfortable! You’ve got to keep working at it until it becomes second nature…until it becomes a habit!
