So you think that Halloween is just a time for dressing up, getting candy, and watching scary movies huh? Well it is actually so much more! In cultures all around the world halloween is a time for worshipping the dead…not making a joke of them.
“Halloween, one of the world’s oldest holidays, is still celebrated today in a number of countries around the globe. In Mexico and other Latin American countries, Día de los Muertos—the Day of the Dead—honors deceased loved ones and ancestors. In countries such as Ireland, Canada and the United States, adults and children alike revel in the popular Halloween holiday, which derived from ancient festivals and religious rituals. Traditions include costume parties, trick-or-treating, pranks and games.” – History.com
Do you remember when I explained that in most cases like attracts like? What about the saying misery loves company? If you are on my site chances are you are intrigued by mediumship, spirituality, or intuitive development. Knowing what you know and reading what you’ve read, wouldn’t it make sense that spirit activity is heightened right now?
Over the past two weeks I have had multiple inquiries about “strange happenings.”
I pretty much tell everyone the same thing – ground, protect yourself, smudge your house like crazy, and call in your spirit team. I’m not telling you this to scare anyone; though the people who have come to me have had some pretty startling experiences, I am telling people this so you can be prepared.
Spirit activity is high right now and that isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it does mean being a little more diligent and aware of our surroundings will be helpful. I myself usually smudge my entire house about once a month...I’ve done it three times this month. Spirit has been jumping at the chance to overstep their boundaries, like when I went out of town. Recently I’ve had much more activity in other parts of my house vs. just my office where I ask them to stay.
It doesn’t scare me or anything; it’s more like “ugh this again?!”
For people who don’t work with spirit daily it can be a little startling. So here are my suggestions for the next few weeks while the veil remains thin…
Wear protective jewelry
Lately, my guides have been suggesting essential oil diffusers with sage, frankincense, and lavender while sleeping.
Place stones around your home
Be very cautious of the energy you surround yourself with. (Negative Nancys)
Set strict boundaries
Not only is the veil thin because of the time of year but also (in my opinion) it’s getting thinner in general. We as a whole are waking up, though it may seem we are more asleep than ever… we aren’t. I believe that because of all the craziness that has been happening over the past few years people are starting to see this is no way to live. There has to be something better right? So in acknowledging the love within and becoming more open minded, more people are also discovering there may just be more to this thing called life than what meets the eye.
Happy Halloween everyone!
