Be Your Best Self! Change Your Outlook On Life!

A few years ago when I was sitting on my couch feeding my baby I decided that I had had enough of being depressed. I had been depressed off and on my entire life and since I was a teenager I had been on some kind of medicine for it and I was done with that. I had a family now and I didn’t need my baby growing up never knowing which mom he was going to get. The happy, full of life mom or the mom who was exhausted and snippy and just wanted to be alone for no reason. I was done, I decided at that moment that I was going to get happy and it wasn’t going to be synthetic.

I watched a movie, The Secret, I’ve talked about it in numerous posts like this one, but it really did change my life! From that moment on I took charge…like literally that day I started making life changes. Don’t get me wrong it wasn’t easy at first…in fact it felt down right WEIRD. It was weird learning to love myself, all my life I had been taught it’s selfish to love yourself.

I became obsessed with getting happy and being positive, I totally changed my outlook on life. I spent hours upon hours doing research and finding the validity in the things I was reading, watching, and listening too. I didn’t even tell anyone what I was doing for months because, well I wasn’t exactly sure myself.

Over the past few years I have compiled so much information, tactics, and exercises to live a happier life that it would make your brain hurt if I tried to cram it all into one post. I’ve changed my entire life simply by changing my outlook.

Sometimes we are born into unfortunate circumstances, that doesn’t mean YOU have to repeat those same patterns. Sometimes we are dealt a pretty dirty hand, but you know what dirt makes…flowers! Every situation in our life is an opportunity to learn and grow. Negativity and “not having enough” was engraved into my being by the people I was surrounded by, but it’s not there anymore. I CHOSE to think and act differently and thus my life changed drastically in less than a year.

I want for everyone to experience this SO BADLY. I am telling you that you too can change. You can learn to love yourself and once you do your whole world changes. I know it sounds like hippie mumbo-jumbo but it’s true. I am living proof and I want to help YOU get to that happy place.

Every flower, every blade of grass, and every giant Redwood…once started as a seed. Grow with me!
