When I started giving readings I became a bit concerned with what would happen if I hit a language barrier. What if the spirit I connected with didn’t speak English, what if they only spoke in sign language, what if they didn’t speak…at all? Since my strongest gift is clairaudience, this was a major fear of mine! How could I give an accurate reading to someone if their spirit didn’t speak the same language as me? Seems like a pretty legit concern right?
Well, I have since learned that spirit language is pretty much universal. When a spirit is connecting with me it doesn’t really matter what language they spoke in the physical. This is because while I do hear their words, it’s more of a connection of thoughts. Their thoughts form words that I can hear and understand.
Along with words, thoughts, and “downloads;” spirit also shows me images. They may show me a small movie-like scene, symbols, letters, and occasionally numbers. My job as a medium is to put all of these things together to deliver their message.
But there was that one time…
One day I had just finished meditating and I kept hearing a phrase repeated over and over in my head. I decided to look it up and see what it meant exactly; as it turns out it was a phase in Indonesian. This phrase (unfortunately I can’t remember the entire thing) totally resonated with me at that time. It had something to do with letting go, enjoying the journey, and climbing to new heights. Something I was obviously struggling with at the time!
About a week ago the name “Andrada” was stuck in m head all day, so naturally I whipped out the ol’ google (sorry that sounded kind of dirty in the weirdest way possible). After googleing the name Andrada I found this to be the meaning…

While my name is not Andrada this was spirit’s way of communicating with me! Sometimes spirit will give us words outside of our normal language so that we can learn and grow. Words that come from other origins seem to hold more meaning that the simple words we tend to use on a daily basis.
When spirit gives me a word I have to look up, I take it as a great from of validation!
So can medium’s connect with spirit’s that speak other languages? The answer…YES!
